Event description This training provides foster carers with the opportunity to reflect on their practice. To build on existing skills, knowledge, values needed to understand and work with the impact of ongoing exposure to trauma, enabling them to recognise when they are on the verge or experiencing Compassion Fatigue Syndrome. Carers are provided practical strategies that they can begin using immediately, to build resilience and manage the impact of collective trauma and grief on them and their family.

PLEASE NOTE THIS TRAINING WILL RUN OVER THREE SESSIONS ON TUE 9TH, TUE 16TH & 23RD NOVEMBER 
Training objectives Learning Outcomes:



  • Be able to identify and define Compassion Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

  • Gain an understanding of the possible impact of CFS on your practice as a foster carer

  • Be able to action plan a support plan for you and your family
