Event description To enable carers to develop strategies in relation to managing behaviour of the children and young people in their care which they find challenging and difficult to manage.

PLEASE NOTE THIS TRAINING WILL RUN OVER TWO SESSIONS ON TUE 25TH AND WED 26TH JANUARY 
Training objectives By the end of the course Carers will be able to:



  • List why children and young people might display behaviour that is difficult to manage

  • Explain the uniqueness of teenagers and how this impacts on their behaviour

  • Demonstrate the PACE approach to  help to promote the experience of safety in your interactions with young people

  • Describe some of the triggers that may cause challenging behaviour in a child or young person

  • Explain some of the strategies that can be used by the carer to manage challenging behaviour
